Our Story - Our Family

Just For Fun - Here We Are!

“Purposes, plans, and achievements of men may all disappear like a yon cloud upon the mountain’s summit; but, like the mountain itself, the things which are of God shall stand fast forever and ever.” – Charles Spurgeon

WHO WE ARE

Compassion…/Vision…/Ministry…/

Church ministry in many ministry settings is defined by the past.  Ideas that were born from a heart overwhelmed by a need in the community.  The need birthed vision in the soul of that servant of God and outreach began.  This happened with the Sunday school ministry, bus ministry, youth ministry and even small group bible studies. All of these ministries were birthed in the soul of a passionate servant of Christ.  My question is:  Does God speak and create passionate hearts today with new vision and purpose for local church ministry?  I know that HE does as I see it in the local church in which I serve and I see it in other local assemblies as new ministries are brought to life.

This leads us to my next question:  Can we learn to cooperate with God in the development of passsionate, powerful, outreach ministries that go into our own local communities?

The HeartsAlive Ministry program is not simply motivation and training, but rather it is focused on developing disciples by the grace of God to increase their Passion and Vision for Ministry.

WHAT WE DO

A developing disciple that is being personally led through the beatitudes will have significant heart transformations as they become the salt and light of the world. We are not seeing the desired conversions because our churches have lost their influence.  Believers are to be salt protecting and preserving the culture from moral decay.  Believers are to be light to a world that is perishing in darkness, but it seems the light grows dim.  The big voice of the world weighs heavy upon the still small voice that is to be directing the child of God.  The beatitudes provide a beautiful portrait of the developing disciple.  These are the reasons why all things work together for good.  These are the elements of good that must be restored to the child of God so that they may become the image bearers of the very Son of God.  By cooperating with the grace of God at work in the heart and life of the believer we stay in the place of blessing and we see the heart of compassion, vision, and ministry developed.

The first 4 beatitudes become the clear vision for growth in grace and cooperating with the activity of God as HE restores the image of Jesus Christ to our life. It is a journey of grace and faith and one that shall bring glory and honor to the Father.

Meet Our Family

Berdina and I have raised 10 children, we lost a set of twins as they were born pre-mature and did not survive. HIS grace was, is and ever shall be sufficient.
